Experience
Vijay has been a Partner since 2003.Vijay worked as a trainee with Hindustan Lever Limited in Chennai, India from June 1994 till November 1995. Vijay joined Grant Thornton in Botswana in 1996.He worked as a branch manager in Selebi-Phikwe and later on took charge of the Northern operations of the firm. He moved to Gaborone in 2002 is responsible for the growth and development of the Advisory services team.

Sector experience
Vijay has a vast client base of mid market entrepreneurial businesses and over 14 years experience in Botswana across various business sectors. He heads the Advisory services practice at Grant Thornton Botswana which covers Corporate Finance, Business Risk Services, Business recovery and reorganisation and Forensic review services – apart from Specialist Accounting services.

He is in charge of the continual improvements in the IT sector within the firm and liaison with international offices in this regard.

• CNE 4 Novell Netware - Certified Netware Engineer.

• ACCA (UK) - Associate member of Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (Fellow member since 2009.
• Current President of BICA,
• Chairperson of BICA Tax Committee
• Past Chairperson of BICA - Education & Training, Public Relations, Membership and Examinations Committee
• Representing BICA on BOCCIM HLCC Ministry of Finance and Development Planning
• Member of Board for Botswana Accountancy College & for Audit Committee.
• Invited member of Grant Thornton Regional Advisory Services Committee and IT Committee.
