There are a number of factors that contribute to a positive investment climate that attracts and encourages investors to do business in Botswana:

The Department of Trade and Investment Promotion (TIPA’s) transformation
as an autonomous organisation was replaced with Botswana Export Development
and Investment Authority (BEDIA). BEDIA was formed to promote the investment
and export of goods manufactured in Botswana.
